Sewers
Last checked 2026-11-03
The sewers are not a second basement. You enter them from the basement storage room. The reason the floor has its own page is the Furnace, an optional superboss the wiki places at X=3, Y=2.
Rooms, access and connections

Route schematic
Basement storage → Sewers → fuel-line Ticks → optional Furnace encounter
One entrance, one superboss
Storage first, sewers second. If the storage disc doors are still shut, you are not in the sewers yet. Those doors are 5 and 16, and they are documented on the basement page. I will not repeat the landlord’s rent math here except to say the basement key is what makes this path exist.
The Furnace row I will print is 1600 HP and 60 attack. No level is published. No elemental weakness is published. The reward players care about is the Furnace Edge: a weapon that, on its second break, becomes the Slagblade and cannot be taped back together. That transformation is on the weapons page. The fight’s existence is the sewer fact.
I do not have a second source for the tile coordinates. The wiki is one source, so the status on X=3, Y=2 is “1 source,” not a surveyed map. GameFAQs has floor maps by Cyrus917 for other levels. I am not going to pretend a sewer grid from a different floor’s image applies here.
Cursed mode’s basement rules (Antoine at the threshold) can stop you before this water ever appears. That gate is a difficulty rule, not a sewer puzzle. Drowning, which players also search beside “sewers,” is a different boss in apartment 28. Beating Drowning makes the party immune to drowning. It is not the Furnace, and it is not required to read this page.
