The basement key is in the landlord’s apartment after three rent payments, not four. Downstairs, the storage room’s disc doors want 5 and 16. The Janitor Key Ring is a Garbage Worm drop in this basement, which is why the labyrinth page refuses that search.

What this floor is for

Mr. Henderson’s third payment is the door. The fourth payment stays upstairs as the Jupiter disc and the Trench Digger. If a video tells you to clear the rent ledger before the stairs will open, it is describing a stricter habit than the wiki. I follow the three-payment line.

Storage is the interesting room. The left disc door is 5, which is Pluto’s value. The right door is 16, which is Neptune. Neptune itself is not in this room. The wiki places that disc in the Fungus Maze. Pluto and the Void disc are listed in apartment 31’s observatory, which is not the basement either. The doors and the discs are different errands that share numbers. I keep both on the disc page and only the doors here.

The Garbage Worm is the janitor-key answer. The ring opens janitors’ closets. Papineau is the man who gives the janitor quest. He is usually on the ground floor. People searching “janitor key in the maze” have three nouns from three floors, and only the worm is holding the ring.

Sewers are entered from basement storage. The Furnace sits in that sewer layer. On Cursed difficulty the wiki says Antoine has to be fought before the whole basement area is available, and Antoine’s key opens storage. That is a mode rule, not the Explorer route.

Security office puzzles are part of the same lower complex in the disc list: equal discs on one door, 18 on the storage door. I am not redrawing a measured map. The room list above is the part two wiki pages agree on.
