The janitor key is not in the maze. The Janitor Key Ring drops from the Garbage Worm in the basement. The basement key itself is the landlord’s third rent payment. Iris keys are a separate pair, one of them on the Furnace.

The keys searches actually mean

Eighteen keys are in use on the disambiguation page, plus seven the page marks unused. I will not pretend each unused key has a door. The ones with a job I can cite: the simple key Kaeley hands out, the padlock key from the wounded neighbor for the Floor 3 stair door, Sam’s spare apartment 33 key in a flowerpot, the apartment 21 key by the Floor 2 rubble, Lyle’s dark room key, the child barrier key, Frederic’s painter key, the stained key from Toxic Fred, the vending machine key from Mutt, the electronic key in apartment 18 for a parking-garage car, the basement key, Antoine’s cursed key for basement storage, the Clyde, Jennifer, and Auguste keys for a cursed bathroom, the store key from the fungal lair, and the janitor ring.

Unused names I will list so they stop masquerading as objectives: Old Rusty Key, Telescope Room Key, Cafe Key, Landlord’s Key, apartment 22’s key, Rusty Old Key, Security Key. If a video treats one of those as essential, it is ahead of the wiki or it is wrong. I am staying with the wiki.

Iris keys open the Meat World entrance. The Furnace drops one. Another sits inside the Meat World. The page’s suggested route for two early copies is Hellride’s Lair off the parking garage. That is a key route, not a sewer requirement.

“Basement key sooner” is the third payment. The fourth payment is Jupiter and a boss. Paying early is not a hidden discount. It is stopping at the right number.
