Aster stands at the start of the Floor 2 hallway. He is one of the Four Astronomers. He does not join because you found him. He joins after you have spoken to all four, and then you ask. That dialogue was added in version 2.0.

Four conversations, then the question
Level 6, 145 HP, 4 attack. Fire Safety is the skill the sheet highlights: 6–8 turns on some party members and 3–4 on others. I print the range because the page itself refuses a single duration. Dream Eater is removed if he rejoins in 2.3. That is a patch change, so a 2.0 tier list that still praises Dream Eater is describing an older kit.
The offering he wants is the correct photograph. Lyle’s photo paper is the tool. The Old Photograph is a wrong offering used on the Mask route, and I will not let those two pictures share a sentence without the word “wrong.”
Jasper, Beryl, Aurelius, and Sybil are the rest of that circle. Only Aster is recruitable among the names players usually list. Sybil stays at the eyehole. Searching “astronomers location” is this hallway plus their separate rooms, not a single guild hall.
If you leave and come back, the 2.3 rejoin rule is the one I trust for the current PC version. Console builds shipped as 2.3.12. I have one wiki for the skill removal and the store pages for the version number, so the skill note stays marked as the wiki’s 2.3 text.
Fire Safety’s turn count is a range because the targets differ. I will not average 6–8 and 3–4 into “about five turns.” Dream Eater’s removal on a 2.3 rejoin is a kit change, so older praise for that skill is a historical note.
