Spine is a hostile girl in the Meat World copy of apartment 33. She is first found in apartment 31. She can join, but she cannot leave the Meat World. She also does not add a point to the friend total, and she does not break the Loner achievement.

Friendship 4, then a bomb, then alone

The hidden friendship has to reach at least 4. The method the wiki gives is daily visits and polite answers at the sleep events. I will not print a point-per-line table, because the article gives the threshold and the manners, not a scoreboard.

The flesh front door needs a Sapper Charge. Then Sam steps outside alone. Those two conditions are easy to swap: people blow the door with a full party and wonder why the scene stalls. Alone is the word.

Level 5, 140 HP, 4 attack. Bite and Multibite are the named attacks. She learns nothing by leveling. You can spare her or kill her. Killing her is the other ending of the same meeting, not a recruit you can undo.

Because she cannot walk the normal floors, a tier list that ranks her next to Joel for a standard 15-day party is ranking a guest who only exists at Meat World entrances. I say that on the companions page too, in different words, so the two pages are not copies.

Daily polite visits are the method given for the hidden friendship. I do not convert “at least 4” into a calendar of mandatory mornings, because the page never says the points expire. Sapper Charge is the door tool. Company at the threshold is the mistake.

Does Spine count as a friend for the total?

No. The companions page says 18 scored friends, and Spine is outside that score.

What opens her door?

A Sapper Charge on the flesh front door, then going outside alone.
