Look Outside v2.3

Companion

Hellen

Last checked 2026-11-03

Hellen is a former gardener who shows up at the door with a cleaver. She lives, on the wiki, in apartment 18 on Floor 1. Open the door and let her stay when she asks. Closing it after that question removes her for the run.

Bloodlust, not a hallway recruit

Her sheet starts at level 4, 225 HP, 7 attack. Ranged weapons are off the table for her. The statuses players name are Stalked, Unmasked, and Fallow Will. I am not expanding those into a rotation, because the companion page describes them as her management problem, not as a published damage formula.

The question “will Hellen kill your party” comes from that bloodlust. The public write-up treats it as something you manage, not as a scripted party wipe with a timer I can quote. If a second source never gives a turn count, I leave the count out.

Version 2.0 added a plant side quest for her. That is the peaceful half of the same character: gardener first, cleaver second. Devolver’s shop sells a Hellen pin. The pin is merchandise, not a quest item, and it does not change recruitment.

Attacking her at the door is not the same as closing it. The door-encounter article says attacking most guests removes them, with exceptions, and Hellen is removed by the closed door, not by the attack line. I keep that distinction because the two searches are different mistakes.

She is one of the random knocks, so she is not standing in a room you can walk to on day one. The door guide has the time blocks. This page only answers whether to let her in.
